I love switching up my routine as seasons change and for Fall I make sure to keep my already dry skin super hydrated and I love to play with warm, earthy tones. I have a few must-haves for hair, skin and makeup that I am loving at the moment and all are from Walmart. Did you know they sell high-end brands like Nars & Guerlian? It’s your one-stop-shop for all your affordable and luxury brands.
I’m breaking down my top pics below:
Hyaluronic Acid has been a staple in my skincare for some time now, but especially during the colder, dry months it really locks in the hydration. It’s super lightweight and sits well under makeup. It also won’t break the bank at under $20.
I love tinted moisturizer when I’m WFH or want minimal coverage but still look put together. I feel like that’s the motto of 2020 as far as getting ready goes too! This also has SPF 30 which is great (I still suggest wearing a separate SPF) but even at home, we should be wearing sunscreen. This formula is gorgeous and leaves skin glowing. I wear shade Sheer Tan.
Talk about liquid gold! During winter months we’re not getting as much Vitamin D and skin can look dull and dry. This cooling primer brings life back to your skin and sets the stage for such gorgeous, luminous makeup.
I can’t say enough great things about this stick. It’s probably my favorite find of 2020. So easy to use, it leaves lips feeling hydrated all day and even when it wears off it looks like a beautiful stain. I have 4 colors that I’m loving for the fall: Lead The Way, Trust Your Gut, Live on the Edge (what I’m wearing in the pic above), Change is Good, & Accept a Dare.
Maybelline is on a roll with their lip products. These are gorgeous non-sticky glosses with great color payoff. Formulated with hyaluronic acid, they keep lips soft and supple but also help them look fuller. My favorite shades are Amber and Stone.
I am obsessed with cream blush and highlighters at the moment. They add that extra glow that powder just can’t provide and also with so much time at home our skin is dryer. I like to apply this with either my finger when in a rush or with a brush (I swirl it at the top and then stipple into my skin). It gives off the most gorgeous youthful glow.
Hands down my favorite affordable mascara. It gives good volume, length and drama with little effort. It’s just good – enough said!
I don’t always love eyeshadow palettes because I rarely use more than 1-2 colors when they all look the same. But this palette is not only budget friendly but also has so many colors ranging from mattes to shimmers that work for day and night. The payoff is great too.
Let’s be real, I am not trying too hard this year and my hair is one area I haven’t been able to get help with professionally much with quarantine and just social distancing in general. This lightweight cream makes my frizzy hair much more manageable and can be used dry. I wash my hair 1-2 x a week so products I can use to tame my unruly mane when it’s dry are huge!
