It’s been awhile since I have gotten a blog post up, so I thought I’d share my thoughts here! Truly hard to believe that we are entering the last month of 2023 and as I reflect back… it’s been a lot. A lot of joy, a lot of sadness, a lot to be grateful for, & a lot to learn. It is heartbreaking to see what is happening globally right now, and it has made many of us push away from social media & divide, where it once united us in so many ways. I shared on my Instagram stories recently that I refuse to adapt to this current view of a scarcity mindset when it comes to empathy. I know these issues run extremely deep and stem from years and years of conflict, but having compassion for one’s life does not take away from another’s. As we enter a time of togetherness and where many of us are fortunate to be sheltered with loved ones, I will continue to watch, learn, and listen.
As if there were even a segue into anything else, I wanted to share that we moved! We are still in the same town, but we are building out our forever home, and couldn’t be more grateful for being allowed this opportunity. As the kids have gotten older (and Kai joined), we have needed more space! The older kids were sharing a room, and all three were sharing a bathroom… they now each have their own respective space (and are loving it). Veeral also now has his own office space (instead of utilizing his set up that was in our bedroom) which he is very happy about, and I’m loving that I now have a fully beauty room that can actually properly house everything versus the chaos I’ll call my office (IYKYK). I’m excited to share more home content as we settle in too (we are still building out part of the house, so it’ll be fun to take you along for that process). I recognize how blessed we are and I don’t take it for granted. I am beyond grateful for it all.
This weekend will be a ‘slower’ one for us – we normally have several events and while I know the holiday festivities are around the corner, the kids have lots of activities (games, birthday parties, performance, etc.) and in between, I’m planning to get us more situated in the house with lots of unboxing and organizing.
Since I’m fortunate enough to receive so many amazing products – I want to give back to my community! I’ll be doing giveaways for the remainder of the month of December! That’s right – one winner per day until the rest of the month! Be sure to check out my stories daily on how to enter as I’ll be switching it up! You can see the word I am embracing is gratitude, today’s giveaway is simple and something I have done before:
- Make a donation to any charity of your choice with any amount
- Follow me on Instagram
- Send a screenshot to firstname.lastname@example.org and be sure to include your mailing address and IG handle in the body of the email
That’s it! Winners will be selected at random and announced on Saturdays of each week!
Thank you all for being here and allowing me to do something that I love so much! Cheers to closing out 2023!
