Winter Wonderland with Ole Henriksen

I recently had the pleasure to attend the Ole Henriksen launch for their newest product – Strength Trainer Peptide Boost Moisturizer. I know pretty quickly if I’m intrigued by a product by the first feel, touch and what it says it’s going to deliver. It takes me about 2 weeks to see if it’s something I like enough to keep on my vanity. This was one of those products I instantly was drawn to because it woke up my parched skin and left it smooth the entire day. It hasn’t been 2 weeks yet, but so far I’m really enjoying it. What makes this product so unique is that it strengthens your moisture barrier using transformative ingredients that your skin needs in order to really glow. Some of the benefits include: doubling hydration, boosting elasticity, and improving the look of fine lines and wrinkles. After a few days of playing with this, I can tell you it doubles beautifully as a makeup primer too, especially in drier temps!

The brand went all out - there was a hot chocolate station, s’mores station, fireplace setup, and even sledding! Way to make us LA folks feel like we actually have seasons!

I got to chat with Ole himself and he dished on his fave products, the most being the Banana Bright Face Primer. Now, here’s the fun part – I am extremely fortunate to be able to try so many new & exciting products before they even hit the market. And, now I want you to be able to join in the fun with a little giveway (all details below). This event, and most of the beauty events I attend, are a little reminder that taking care of our skin is also part of our wellness journey. I’ll be gifting one jar of the new Strength Trainer + some Bala Weights (pictured below).

  1. Wow this is awesome!! I think given the winter months, my skin really needs more hydration but not something that will clog the pores.. Looking forward to hearing your reviews on the new Peptide moisturizer.

  2. Hi Ami.. you are amazing. Love all your content and product recommendations.. My biggest skincare need is adding a boost of hydration for my dull skin and fighting my hyperpigmentation.

  3. I want to simplify my face care routine. My skin is not as forgiving as it used to be in my 20’s and is much more sensitive these days.

  4. Definitely facial ‘lifts’ especially around the eyes. My under eye bags are pretty noticeable without some makeup on and with the skin being so sensitive it dries out quickly and is always in need of extra TLC.

  7. My skin is very oily, sensitive and acne filled. I continue to have random break outs that immediately leave behind acne scars. I need help with controlling my acne and blackheads. I personally don’t understand products and treatments and just go buy what other people recommend within my budget.

I personally started taking so much care of my skin just last year and have seen such a difference but I still have quite a long journey to go.
Many esthetician have recommended I get micro-needling done but it’s just expensive for my budget right now especially since I’m an independent girl trying to survive in this world and help my family the best I can.

  8. My biggest skincare need is sleep masks.
I use lip and face sleeping masks and wake up with an amazing soft skin 🙂

Also, I have been following your instagram since quite some time and I can vouch for it, your content is amazing, motivating and knowledgeable. BUT your little one (Kai) steals the show every time. LOL
    Bless you guys

  13. Hi Ami!
First I just have to tell you – you are amazing!

Ok my biggest skincare need is moisturizer both for face and eyes. With using retinol and dying products skin tends to get drier/peels so key thing for me is to balance it out with a good moisturizer for both face and under eyes.

    Thanks!!

  14. Biggest skincare need for me is hydration and glow. Winter just makes my skin look blah. When I do my skin care, it looks good for few minutes but then back to looking dull. Excited to try this by Ole Henricksen. Love their banana bright serum

  16. My biggest skin concern is to come over from dryness.. After my acne treatment back in 2019, my skin is super dry and since then tried all hydration products- you name it and have tried it but no change in my skin 🙁
I want to try this product and want to see if I can come over my skin concern… 🙂

  17. Firstly, thank you for sharing this with us! You’re really an inspiring personality!
My biggest skin care, or face care need is to revive the dullness and bring in that shine! I need to drink lots of water, I know, but I also have combination skin and would love that perfect moisturizer that I can use, even under my eyes! Just that one product for a 40+ Me!

  18. Postpartum friendly moisturizer that REALLY hydrates and has some extra benefits. Ohh also Mama needs eye cream for dark circles.

  19. Dry skin that breaks out with any sort of cream, sun cream, serum etc. I’d love some sort of moisturizer that just doesn’t not make my skin break out and gives a clean smooth look.

  20. I have extremely dry skin, to a point where I can sometimes feel my moisturizer get quenched into my face (not really but feels that way)!!

  21. I am 48 and so my skin concerns are maintaining tightness/firmness and bounce (is that even a thing?)! I’m new to the collagen game- recently had a micro needling with hyaluronic acid treatment to boost collagen and want to incorporate more into my routine!

    Thanks for doing this!

  22. My biggest skin care need is around my eyes. I have wrinkles near my eyes and it’s so bad that I chose not to smile for pictures just so my eyes don’t look worse. I’ve tried so many different creams but have yet to find something that works!
